Willy Wagtail Merino is much like the quintessential Australian bird. We’re a small company, a bit cheeky, and like the Willy Wagtail, we’re pretty vocal (mostly about our garments!).

At Willy Wagtail Merino we’re passionate about making clothes that not only look and feel good, but are good for little ones. Which is why all of our garments are made from 100% natural Australian Merino wool.

Australian owned and made: We’re proud to be one of the few 100% Australian owned companies that make our Merino wool garments for little ones, right here in Australia.

Regulates body temperature: Merino wool is active, reacting to changes in body temperature, so our garments help keep your little ones cool in summer and toasty warm in winter.

Super soft for sensitive skin: Willy Wagtail garments use a superfine fabric that is luxuriously soft next to skin. It is low irritant to ensure little one’s skin stays, ‘as soft as a baby’s bottom’.

Nice on the nose: Merino wool has natural anti-bacterial and odour-fighting properties that absorb and neutralise unpleasant odours.

Stays dry for longer: Willy Wagtail garments are extremely breathable, absorbing sweat away from the skin and releasing it as vapour to keep little one’s dry and fresh.

UV protection: Have you ever seen a sunburned sheep? Merino wool boasts a naturally high UV protection, much higher than other fabrics and synthetics.

Hard working: Because our garments are made from pure Merino wool, they are durable, wrinkle resistant and they do an excellent job of keeping their shape.

Machine washable: Gone are the days of hand-washing wool garments. All of our clothes can be machine washed on a gentle cycle.

Safety first: Even though our garments are made from a fabric that is considered a natural flame retardant, we highly recommend keeping little ones well away from hot spots around the home!
